Great Neck Road to High School parking lot.

 

Join us at WATERFORD BEACH after the parade for a

DJ, Kids Games & the RE/MAX hot air balloon.

5:00 P.M. until the fireworks display!

2008 Waterford Week

Parade Information

Assemble at 12:00 p.m. Roads close at 12:30pm. Parade starts at 1:00 p.m. The parade route starts on Great Neck Road (Henny Penny) to Waterford High School.

 

Vans will transport parade participants from the High School parking lot to the parade line on Great Neck Road. If using van, please come earlier.

 

Floats drawn by vehicles are to be covered by vehicle owner's automobile

insurance. Any coupling of a trailer to a vehicle is to be appropriate to the load and must have a safety chain.

 

Float construction must be safe, nontoxic or non flammable materials, & secured to the body of the float. Wheel wells are to be left open.

 

Floats are to be equipped with portable ABC Fire Extinguishers.

 

Riders on floats must have secure seating and/or safety harness if standing.

 

Adults must accompany youth on any moving float. Do not over-crowd floats.

 

Participants should leave 20 paces between each group.

 

Please do not throw/distribute anything from a moving vehicle or float.

 

Contact person or charge person should check-in at the registration table near Americana Furniture and sign-in.

 

Marchers may go side to side and hand out items  (candy, coupons, toys, etc)

 

In case of an emergency during the parade move to the right, stop, and wait until emergency vehicles/personnel pass.
